I treasure spending my time in the natural world, and will often make time for a daily walk, even if only to school. I believe every meal is better with cheese, and every night is better with family. I am inspired by the arts, especially the way music creates emotion and tells a story.
It is always a pleasure interacting with a group of children and asking them questions. They motivate me, challenge me and, most importantly, make me laugh! I am inspired by their their individual perspectives, and outlook on the world. I believe that when students have the freedom to express themselves and learn concepts that are interests and passions of theirs, the overall academic experience then becomes more rich and memorable.
The two specialties I have studied are English and Media. I have learned how to use media outlets effectively and use technology to engage the audience. I have also learned how to be patient when using technology as I have had new experiences using formats and equipment I had never previously tried. My English background has offered me worldly experiences, through a variety of literary text and analysis methods. I love bringing stories to life and imagining beyond the text. However, I think the most important thing I have learned so far is to never doubt myself.
I can't believe that I am in my fifth and final year of Education -- I believe them now when they said the years will go by fast. It is for this reason I felt a blog was an ideal outlet to capture and preserve my favourite moments from this experience.
